GivingAmp is a fundraising platform used by schools, shuls, camps and nonprofits ("organizers"). This page explains what we collect when you visit a campaign page or make a gift, and how it is used.
What we collect
- When you donate: your name, email, phone (optional), billing address, the amount and any dedication or message you choose to share.
- Payment details: card and bank details are entered with and stored by the payment processor the organizer uses (Stripe, Square, PayPal, USA ePay or Card Knox). GivingAmp never stores full card numbers.
- When you create a team: the team name, goal, your name and email.
- Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed) used to keep the service secure and working.
How it is used
- To process your gift, email your receipt, and show it on the campaign's donor wall (anonymous gifts show as "Anonymous").
- To let the organizer thank you and issue tax documentation. Organizers see the details of gifts made to their own campaigns only.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone other than the organizer of the campaign you supported and the service providers needed to run the platform (payment processors, email delivery, hosting).
Your choices
- Give anonymously: your name is hidden from the public donor wall but still shared with the organizer for receipting.
- Ask us to correct or delete your information by emailing info@givingamp.com. Records needed for tax or accounting purposes may be retained as required by law.
